Systems Engineer

You will maintain the health of Linux server platforms supporting a high-performance trading environment. You will design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure; automate software and hardware tasks; write and maintain scripts and tools; manage server infrastructure across local and third-party data centres; and perform analysis, monitoring, performance tuning, and operational support.

Responsibilities

• Investigate products and techniques to improve environmental efficiency and performance
• Manage server infrastructure at third-party and local data centres
• Perform system analysis, monitoring, and performance tuning
• Provide operational support as required
• Automate daily software and hardware tasks
• Write and maintain scripts and tools

Requirements

• 4-6 years of systems engineering experience
• Advanced experience with Linux distributions, including RedHat and Ubuntu
• Experience managing and running services within K8s clusters
• Experience automating daily software and hardware tasks
• Python or Bash scripting experience preferred
• Experience with build and configuration management tools, including Ansible, Rundeck, Puppet, and Foreman
• Experience with system monitoring and alerting tools, including Icinga, Nagios, Prometheus, and Alertmanager
• Experience with VMware, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Experience supporting storage platforms and protocols
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tooling
• Linux kernel and low-latency performance tuning knowledge
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL and MySQL
• Experience troubleshooting multicast and TCP performance issues
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
• Good English communication skills
