Staff Software Engineer Perception

You will lead the development of vision, vision-language, and vision-language-action models for autonomous systems. You will build data and fine-tuning pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and deployment infrastructure; optimize embedded inference; translate research into reliable production capabilities; and collaborate across perception, autonomy, platform, and software engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, fine-tune, and maintain vision, vision-language, and vision-language-action models
• Build scalable data pipelines, supervised fine-tuning workflows, and evaluation loops
• Deploy and optimize models for embedded hardware
• Apply machine learning to perception and autonomy problems
• Translate machine learning research into production capabilities
• Integrate machine learning capabilities into autonomous systems
• Develop benchmarks, testing methodologies, and evaluation frameworks
• Improve training infrastructure, tooling, deployment workflows, and model lifecycle management

Requirements

• 7 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 6 years with a master's degree, or 4 years with a PhD
• Machine learning expertise
• Production computer-vision model training and deployment experience
• Strong understanding of 3D vision algorithms
• Experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow
• Experience deploying models with TensorRT and ONNX
• Proficiency in C++ and Python
• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
