Regional Director Forward Deployed Engineering

You will lead strategic customer engagements from technical discovery through delivery and executive close. You will manage, coach, and hire Forward Deployed Engineers; maintain delivery quality; resolve complex technical issues; develop reusable playbooks; and train consulting partners to deliver high-quality engagements.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery, architecture reviews, engagement scoping, and executive closes
• Build and present proposals with time-boxed deliverables and clear ROI
• Drive deal strategy for strategic accounts
• Serve as executive technical sponsor for priority engagements
• Ensure project scoping, milestone tracking, technical standards, and customer handoffs
• Escalate product gaps and customer pain to Product and Engineering
• Coach Forward Deployed Engineers and intervene on high-stakes accounts
• Build reusable delivery playbooks
• Lead, develop, and scale a team of Forward Deployed Engineers
• Hire Forward Deployed Engineers and set performance standards
• Train and enable GSI and consulting partners

Requirements

• 8+ years leading technical teams that build and ship production systems
• Experience with Forward Deployed Engineering, Solutions Engineering, or a similar coding-focused function
• Software development experience with Python and JavaScript or TypeScript
• Experience building and owning AI-native production workflows
• Experience debugging real-world model failures
• Ability to diagnose enterprise engineering environments and scope engagements
• Experience building and scaling individual-contributor technical teams
