Manager Machine Learning on Orbit

You will lead a group of machine learning engineers and build machine learning systems for industrial inspection. You will research, prototype, and deploy multimodal models; evaluate model performance; curate datasets; and improve models through fine-tuning, selection, and prompt engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of machine learning engineers
• Research, prototype, and deploy models using multimodal robotic-sensor data
• Establish methods for evaluating inspection-model performance
• Curate datasets for model training, fine-tuning, and evaluation
• Improve model performance through fine-tuning, model selection, and prompt engineering

Requirements

• BS and 10+ years of experience, or MS and 7+ years of industry experience in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field
• Expert-level Python software development skills
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization
• Experience training, fine-tuning, and applying generative AI models
• Experience with CUDA, PyTorch, machine learning architectures, and workflows
• Ability to identify product applications for current machine learning advances
• Ability to solve computer-vision problems and communicate findings
