Machine Learning Research Engineer Intern

You will improve search quality through models, data, and tools. You will train and optimize large-scale deep-learning retrieval and ranking models, research representation learning, and build RAG pipelines for grounding and answer generation during a full-time, in-person Berlin internship.

Responsibilities

• Improve search quality through models, data, and tools
• Train and optimize large-scale deep learning models for retrieval and ranking
• Conduct research in representation learning and multimodal modeling for search and retrieval
• Build and optimize RAG pipelines for grounding and answer generation

Requirements

• Understanding of search and retrieval systems, quality evaluation principles, and metrics
• PyTorch proficiency
• Experience with distributed training and performance optimization
• Knowledge of representation learning, contrastive learning, vector representations, representation fusion, cross-lingual alignment, training data optimization, and evaluation
• Publication record in AI or machine learning conferences or workshops
