Functional Safety Architect
Posted Updated
Description
You will define functional safety goals, mechanisms, and fault-handling strategies for SoCs. You will lead safety analyses, establish safety processes, develop safety cases, embed requirements across hardware and software, and coordinate certification and audit support.
Responsibilities
- Define SoC functional safety architecture, goals, mechanisms, and fault-handling strategies
- Lead hazard, risk, failure-mode, fault-tree, and dependent-failure analyses
- Derive quantitative safety metrics and diagnostic-coverage targets
- Define safety mechanisms for compute, AI, memory, and interconnect subsystems
- Embed safety requirements into RTL, boot flows, and SDKs
- Own safety cases and safety-lifecycle work products
- Coordinate with assessors and customers for certification and audits
- Establish functional safety processes and mentor engineers
- Manage interfaces between functional safety, cybersecurity, reliability, and SOTIF
