VP of Marketing

You will define brand strategy and market positioning while expanding the product story into a broader category. You will own messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy for target verticals; guide brand, creative, communications, and product marketing; and sharpen competitive differentiation. You will partner with demand generation and Sales leadership to connect marketing efforts with pipeline and revenue. You will also build, lead, and mentor the marketing function as it scales.

Responsibilities

• Own brand strategy and market positioning while expanding from sales coaching into a broader category
• Own product marketing including messaging positioning and go-to-market strategy for target verticals
• Shape storytelling across customers prospects recruits and the broader market through brand creative and communications
• Sharpen differentiation against legacy incumbents scaled competitors and new market entrants
• Partner with demand generation and Sales leadership to connect brand and product marketing with pipeline and revenue
• Build lead and mentor the marketing team as the function scales
• Develop a scalable demand generation engine to fuel pipeline growth

Requirements

• Have 12 or more years of marketing experience including at least 5 years in leadership roles at technology companies
• Demonstrate deep brand and product marketing experience defining positioning and category narratives
• Demonstrate success building and scaling marketing teams from an early stage
• Apply sound judgment and a strong strategic perspective to guide organizational thinking about marketing
• Show a strong partnership track record with Sales leadership in complex selling environments
• Work effectively amid speed ambiguity and frequent change
