VP/Director Cloud Platform Software Engineering

You will set platform vision and goals, translate customer needs into priorities, and decide what to build, buy, or integrate. You will develop engineering managers and technical leaders, own delivery commitments, contribute technical judgment, improve AI-assisted engineering workflows, and raise standards for testing, security, observability, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Set platform vision, goals, and team outcomes with Product
• Hire, coach, and develop engineering managers and technical leaders
• Own platform delivery, allocate capacity, remove blockers, and surface risks
• Contribute to designs and implementation and challenge counterproductive technical decisions
• Enable customer workflows across the console, APIs, SDKs, CLI, and agent integrations
• Improve AI-assisted development, testing, and review workflows
• Raise standards for testing, security, observability, and operations

Requirements

• Experience scaling an engineering organisation and developing managers and technical leaders
• Deep technical judgment in cloud platforms or distributed systems
• Confidence writing, reviewing, and debugging production software
• Experience carrying technical decisions through implementation
• Product and business judgment
• Practical use of coding agents
• Clear communication, influence, and collaboration
