Systems Engineer | Production Engineering (Weekend Warrior)

Support global infrastructure projects across high-performance computing and global trading environments. Resolve complex technical issues, develop diagnostic and triage tools, profile and debug application stacks, and design, build, and maintain complex systems. The role includes a modified full-time schedule with weekends and 12-hour shifts during assigned weekends.

Responsibilities

• Work on global infrastructure projects across a wide range of infrastructure
• Manage and resolve technically complex issues
• Develop tools for diagnosing, resolving, and triaging difficult problems
• Design, build, and maintain complex systems
• Work a modified schedule that includes weekends

Requirements

• Expert Linux knowledge
• Networking knowledge
• Scripting competence with Go or Python
• Extensive experience profiling and debugging application stacks
• Extensive experience designing, building, and maintaining complicated systems
• Experience with system configuration management tools such as Salt, Puppet, or Ansible
• Root-cause analysis
• Reliable and predictable availability
