Staff SRE & Defi Scalability Lead

Join ABC Labs' protocol engineering team to build and maintain reliable, scalable backend infrastructure supporting Ethereum mainnet, Layer 2s, custom APIs, data pipelines, and DeFi experiences.

Responsibilities

• Provision, set up, and secure Linux servers
• Manage blockchain nodes for maximum uptime
• Manage DNS, Cloudflare Workers, Pages, and related services
• Deploy and configure Prometheus and Grafana metrics tooling
• Load test and optimize APIs
• Manage Docker container fleets using Dokploy, Swarm, Kubernetes, or similar tools
• Design and implement highly scalable services with the API team
• Architect solutions and set team priorities to meet scaling goals
• Lead a small engineering team

Requirements

• Full-stack experience with specialization in site reliability engineering
• Familiarity with running blockchain nodes and node-centric backend services
• Production-level experience at a DeFi startup or deep immersion as an end user
• Security-first mindset
• Strong command of English
• Availability for most of a typical US workday
• Willingness to work in person at the San Francisco office is preferred
