Staff Software Engineer Cash Forecasting

You will drive architecture and technical standards for a cash forecasting platform while mentoring engineers and improving development practices. You will build financial-system integrations, machine learning and variance analysis features, scalable data processing, dashboards, notifications, and reliable production systems.

Responsibilities

• Drive platform architecture decisions

• Own critical systems from design through production support
• Build API integrations with SAP Oracle Workday and banking systems
• Develop machine learning models for cash-flow forecasting
• Build automated variance analysis and anomaly detection
• Design flexible worksheet engines
• Optimize data processing caching and aggregation
• Create dashboards and visualization components
• Build automated compliance notifications and variance alerts

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years working on complex business-critical production systems
• Experience with products at significant scale
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with cross-functional projects
• Experience delivering multi-quarter projects across teams
• Experience owning production systems end to end
• On-call and critical incident experience
• Experience leading technical designs for teams of 3+ engineers
• Experience mentoring engineers
• Experience with AWS Azure or GCP
• Docker and Kubernetes experience
• Infrastructure as code and CI/CD knowledge
• Observability knowledge
• Microservices deployment and service mesh experience
• Distributed systems and event-driven architecture knowledge
• Message queue experience
• Multi-tenancy and data isolation knowledge
• RBAC and authorization knowledge
• Audit logging and financial compliance knowledge
• API versioning and backward compatibility knowledge
• Feature flagging and progressive rollout experience
• Deep Ruby on Rails expertise
• Expertise with RDBMS and PostgreSQL
• Large-scale multi-tenant application experience
• RESTful API experience
• React TypeScript and JavaScript expertise
• Financial forecasting or liquidity knowledge preferred
• Banking systems and financial data format knowledge preferred
