Staff Infrastructure Engineer

You will design, deploy, administer, and optimize identity, compute, virtualization, storage, server, and data-center infrastructure. You will improve resiliency, monitoring, disaster recovery, automation, and hybrid-cloud integrations. You will lead technical initiatives, resolve critical incidents, document standards, and mentor other engineers.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure solutions for complex requirements.
• Administer and optimize Active Directory and core identity infrastructure.
• Engineer and operate enterprise compute, virtualization, storage, Windows, and Linux infrastructure.
• Design and maintain data-center and colocation infrastructure.
• Perform capacity planning and infrastructure sizing.
• Improve backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure resiliency.
• Implement infrastructure monitoring and observability.
• Develop automation and repeatable deployments using infrastructure-as-code tools.
• Support hybrid on-premises and AWS or Azure infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex production incidents and participate in on-call activities.
• Partner on infrastructure hardening, connectivity, and compliance requirements.
• Lead infrastructure projects, maintain technical documentation, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years of experience engineering and supporting enterprise infrastructure in production environments.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Active Directory, including AD DS, Group Policy, DNS, authentication, and replication.
• Experience with enterprise compute, virtualization, and storage platforms.
• Windows Server administration experience and working proficiency with Linux systems.
• Experience designing backup, replication, disaster recovery, and business-continuity solutions.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration management.
• Experience supporting hybrid on-premises infrastructure and AWS and/or Azure.
• Ability to lead complex technical initiatives, establish standards, troubleshoot ambiguous problems, and mentor engineers.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
