Solutions Engineering Manager

You will lead and develop a regional presales function while remaining hands-on in high-impact deals. You will coach Solutions Engineers, standardize discovery and demonstrations, manage forecasts and pipeline health, and partner with commercial and product stakeholders to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Hire, ramp, and develop a team of 5–10 Solutions Engineers
• Run one-to-ones, deal reviews, and career-development conversations
• Execute presales motions including research, discovery, demonstrations, workshops, and Proofs of Concept
• Design and evolve demonstration methodology
• Build and maintain presales tools, demo environments, reusable assets, evaluation guides, and objection handling
• Drive the use of AI tools for call preparation, demonstrations, and follow-up documentation
• Own presales forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and performance reporting
• Partner on account and territory strategy and resource high-value opportunities
• Identify deal risks, timelines, and technical dependencies and unblock Solutions Engineers
• Route field feedback, product gaps, and competitive intelligence to stakeholders
• Coach Solutions Engineers on MEDDPICC, Command of the Message, Proofs of Concept, and executive readouts

Requirements

• Experience recruiting, managing, and developing Solutions Engineering presales teams
• Experience owning the employee lifecycle from hiring through onboarding and promotions
• Experience improving team performance through coaching, deal support, and presales process execution
• Ability to own presales forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and performance reporting
• Fluency in MEDDPICC and Command of the Message
• Ability to communicate technical detail and executive-level value narratives
• Experience partnering with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Product Marketing leadership
