Software Test and Automation Engineer II

You will develop Python-based automated tests, utilities, and analysis tools for autonomy software validation. You will support verification across simulation and hardware environments, analyze results, improve test automation, integrate tests into CI/CD workflows, and participate in laboratory testing of autonomous systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop Python-based automated tests, test utilities, and analysis tools
• Support verification and validation across simulation, SIL, HIL, VIL, and representative system environments
• Build regression, integration, functional, and performance tests
• Analyze test results and assist with debugging software and integration issues
• Develop tools that reduce manual testing and improve repeatability
• Develop software quality metrics, dashboards, test reports, and readiness assessments
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD workflows
• Collaborate with engineering and flight-test stakeholders on validation requirements
• Participate in laboratory and hardware testing
• Improve test coverage, automation, documentation, and validation workflows

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a related technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
• Python programming experience
• Familiarity with software development and debugging fundamentals
• Knowledge of robotics, autonomy, aerospace, embedded systems, or software testing
