Software Integration Engineer I

You will develop C++ interfaces between Hivemind and vehicle systems, integrate sensor data into autonomy software, implement communication protocols, deploy software on Linux mission computers, support integration testing, build Python tools, troubleshoot interfaces, and validate new platforms with engineering and flight teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop C++ interfaces between Hivemind and sensors, flight controllers, payloads, radios, and vehicle systems
• Build and maintain interface blocks, platform adapters, and middleware components
• Integrate sensor and vehicle-system data into autonomy software
• Implement and debug MAVLink, serial, TCP/UDP, and multicast communication interfaces
• Configure and deploy software on Linux mission computers
• Support SIL, HIL, VIL, and laboratory integration testing
• Develop Python tools for testing, configuration, data analysis, and troubleshooting
• Debug software interfaces, data formats, timing, networking, configuration, and system behavior
• Integrate and validate software on new platforms with autonomy, systems, test, and flight teams

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline or equivalent practical experience
• C++ programming experience
• Familiarity with Linux and software debugging
• Knowledge of classes, data structures, interfaces, and object-oriented programming
• Interest in robotics, embedded software, distributed systems, autonomy, or aerospace systems
• Problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
