Description

You will develop C++ control software for industrial robot arms, including kinematics, trajectory generation, compliance control, and multi-body coordination. You will tune controllers on physical hardware, profile real-time performance, automate software and hardware tests, participate in code reviews, and evaluate emerging control methods.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop C++ software for the robot control stack, including kinematics, trajectory generation, and compliance control.
  • Support parameter identification and controller-gain tuning on physical hardware.
  • Profile control software and maintain required timing margins.
  • Write automated software tests and define hardware testing procedures.
  • Validate control software hands-on with robotic hardware.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on code quality.
  • Investigate and evaluate emerging robotic control methods and algorithms.

Requirements

  • Degree in computer science, control engineering, mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
  • One to three years of professional C++ development experience, or equivalent relevant academic or project work.
  • Working understanding of robot kinematics and dynamics.
  • Background in control engineering, including exposure to parameter identification and controller tuning.
  • Working proficiency in modern C++, including thread-safe and exception-safe code.
  • Comfort with Linux build, test, and debugging toolchains.
  • Ability and willingness to troubleshoot physical robotic hardware.

Benefits
