Senior Technical Accountant

You will own Group accounting policies, prepare technical accounting papers, assess new products before launch, and serve as the primary audit contact for complex accounting matters. You will define transaction-accounting rules, support consolidation, and maintain the technical accounting log.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Group accounting policy manual
• Write technical papers on key accounting judgement areas
• Assess accounting treatment for new products, markets, partnerships, and funding facilities
• Lead technical audit areas and resolve audit findings
• Define transaction-accounting rules and embed them in NetSuite controls
• Maintain US GAAP-to-statutory reconciliations and support consolidation
• Run and review a technical accounting log

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualification
• 7+ years of post-qualification experience
• Big 4 or similar audit background, or in-house technical accounting experience
• Experience in remittance, payments, e-money, or similar regulated financial services
• Knowledge of US GAAP and FRS 102 or IFRS
• Experience with CECL or IFRS 9 credit-loss accounting
• Technical accounting writing and audit-stakeholder communication skills
