You will research and develop algorithms for high-performance flight. You will model vehicle dynamics, design and tune flight-control systems in simulation and real-world environments, use C++, MATLAB, and Simulink, and apply aircraft dynamics, stability, handling-qualities, and modern-control expertise.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop algorithms for high-performance flight
• Model vehicle dynamics and flight controls
• Tune and optimize control systems in simulation and real-world environments
• Develop production C++ software
• Use MATLAB and Simulink for control-system development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Engineering with a focus on Control Systems
• Minimum of 7 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, 6 years with a Master’s degree, or 4 years with a PhD
• Production C++ experience
• MATLAB and Simulink experience
• Expert knowledge of aircraft dynamics, control, stability, and handling qualities
• Experience tuning and optimizing control systems in simulation and real-world environments
• Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance
