Senior Staff Embedded Software Engineer

You will implement low-level, safety-critical embedded software for truck control functions, integrate sensor and vehicle-actuation feedback, and build redundant safety features. You will collaborate on reliable system design and validation, support platform bring-up and operation, and mentor junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Implement safety-critical embedded software for truck control
• Integrate sensor and vehicle-actuation feedback with localization and control systems
• Implement redundant safety features
• Collaborate on the design, build, and validation of reliable systems
• Develop safe, reliable, and robust software
• Support autonomous-platform bring-up and operation remotely and on-site
• Mentor junior developers and engineers

Requirements

• 5+ years of embedded software development experience
• Experience with low-level ARM microcontrollers and processors
• Experience with RTOS
• Experience with C, C++, or Rust
• Experience building reusable embedded code and test systems
• Experience with safety-critical, high-reliability software and industry safety standards
• Ability to work onsite 3–5 days per week
