Senior Software Engineer (L2)

Design and build core services, APIs, data models, and integrations from a blank Rust repository. Own product areas end to end through production, including on-call responsibilities and incident response. Shape requirements with Product and Design, set code quality standards, make architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and improve testing, instrumentation, and engineering practices.

• Own product areas end to end from design through production
• Manage on-call responsibilities and incident response
• Partner with Product and Design to shape requirements
• Set code quality standards through implementation, reviews, and mentorship
• Drive architecture and technical decisions
• Mentor engineers and improve testing, instrumentation, and code quality practices

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience owning production systems
• Strong Rust, Go, Java, or Kotlin skills; production Rust is strongly preferred
• Experience designing REST APIs at scale, including contracts and versioning strategies
• Deep experience with AWS or equivalent, containers, and CI/CD
• Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code
• Experience mentoring engineers or leading technical initiatives
• Clear written and verbal English
• Self-driven work style
• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
