Senior Software Engineer (Full Stack)

Maintain the existing FundersClub platform and ship new features while assisting the Venture team with technical diligence and incubation-related work. The role requires security-conscious engineering for systems handling PII, third-party API integration, work across large undocumented codebases, rapid iteration, adaptability, and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the existing FC platform (~75% time)
• Ship new features (~25% time)
• Assist the Venture team with technical diligence of startups serving developers and incubation-related work

Requirements

• Built complex web applications for 8+ years used by thousands or millions of users
• Fluency in Python, Django, and Django REST framework
• Frontend experience with Angular, TypeScript, CoffeeScript, and Grunt
• Experience deploying and testing Django applications on AWS, Heroku, and CircleCI
• Security-first mindset and experience handling systems with PII
• Experience working with large, undocumented codebases
• Experience integrating third-party APIs
• Preference for shipping working code quickly and iterating
• High adaptability to change
• High self-motivation and inclination to improve
• Strong communication skills with engineers and non-engineers
• Preference for working with small teams
