Senior Software Engineer

You will own features from scoping through production monitoring, working across web, mobile, and service-layer systems. You will build robust functionality with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern runtime services. You will use AI tools to design, build, and optimize software, and create internal tools that improve editorial, design, and product workflows. You will collaborate directly with product, UX, and editorial stakeholders, translate concepts into production solutions, and maintain secure, fault-tolerant, performant systems. You will implement progressive rollouts, automated CI/CD, observability, and frequent low-risk deployments.

Responsibilities

• Own features throughout the product lifecycle, from scoping to production monitoring
• Lead feature scoping with product and design stakeholders
• Build and ship functionality across web, mobile, and service-layer systems
• Use Next.js, React, TypeScript, and modern runtime services to deliver high-quality solutions
• Use AI tools to design, build, and optimize software
• Identify and build internal tools that streamline workflows
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and editorial stakeholders
• Champion progressive rollouts using feature flags
• Implement automated CI/CD pipelines and observability
• Deploy frequently with minimal blast radius
• Maintain secure, fault-tolerant, and performant systems

Requirements

• 5+ years of production software delivery experience
• Hands-on expertise with Next.js, React, Node.js, and TypeScript
• Experience with RESTful APIs and content management platforms
• Advanced knowledge of server-side rendering, caching patterns, and Core Web Vitals optimization
• Experience with automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using Playwright and Maestro
• Experience managing CI/CD pipelines and applying security best practices
• Experience integrating identity systems such as Auth0
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with non-engineering stakeholders
