Senior Software Engineer Card Solutions Backend Focused NodeJS TypeScript

You will design, develop, and operate backend services supporting card transactions, fraud detection, card lifecycle management, and developer-facing APIs. You will contribute to system architecture, write observable and well-tested code, collaborate with product, risk, finance, and compliance stakeholders, and improve reliability through code reviews and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services for card transaction processing, fraud detection, and card program management
• Contribute to system architecture and technical decisions focused on performance, fault tolerance, and maintainability
• Collaborate with product, risk, finance, and compliance stakeholders to deliver compliant financial systems
• Write clean, observable, and well-tested code in a service-oriented architecture
• Participate in code reviews, incident response, and reliability improvements
• Evolve engineering practices, tools, and system designs

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building backend systems in a typed language
• Knowledge of distributed systems concepts including asynchronous processing, retries, observability, and eventual consistency
• Ability to balance correctness, performance, and maintainability
• Ability to collaborate across functions and communicate technical tradeoffs
