Senior Security Engineer

You will review code and system designs, identify potential attack paths, conduct red-team exercises and penetration tests, and help remediate vulnerabilities. You will build security tooling and automation, continuously test applications, support third-party reviews, and educate engineers on secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Review platform and product code to identify security vulnerabilities and potential attack paths
• Conduct red-team exercises and penetration tests across applications and systems
• Identify, investigate, and help remediate security vulnerabilities
• Review code and system designs from a security perspective
• Write and contribute to internal security tools, libraries, and automation
• Continuously test internal and external applications for vulnerabilities
• Educate engineers on secure coding and security practices
• Stay current on relevant threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques
• Assist with third-party application security reviews and penetration tests

Requirements

• Software engineering experience with a security background
• Programming experience in Go, Rust, or Java
• Professional security experience in fintech, banking, payments, crypto, or a similar financial technology environment
• Hands-on red-teaming and penetration-testing experience
• Understanding of attacker tools, techniques, and software vulnerability exploitation
• Ability to own security issues from identification through remediation
• Communication skills to explain security issues clearly
