Senior QA Automation Engineer

You will design, develop, and maintain automated tests for backend, API, frontend, and data-processing systems. You will investigate failures, review code, prioritize testing, improve QA practices, evaluate AI tools, collaborate on service reliability, and maintain test documentation and defect reports.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for backend, API, frontend, and data-processing systems
• Create test coverage for edge cases
• Analyze failed tests and production-like issues using logs, metrics, dashboards, and API responses
• Conduct code reviews
• Pioneer testing approaches, architectures, or frameworks
• Establish technical vision and make cross-project trade-offs
• Prioritize testing efforts based on business needs, risks, and timelines
• Identify and implement QA process improvements and best practices
• Evaluate and drive adoption of AI tools for QA and development workflows
• Define guidelines for AI tool use in QA
• Collaborate to improve service testability, observability, and reliability
• Maintain test documentation, automation coverage notes, and defect reports

Requirements

• 5+ years of AQA/SDET experience testing complex backend, API, data-heavy, or distributed systems
• Understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns applied to test frameworks
• SQL and PostgreSQL experience, including advanced queries and data validation
• Test design skills
• Understanding of backend architecture, environment configuration, service health checks, and deployment validation
• Java skills for test automation
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Playwright, Postman, REST-assured, and Allure
• Experience with Git
• Experience working in Scrum or another Agile delivery process
• Experience with Cursor and Claude, including custom skills, agents, and rules
• Experience with AI no-code tools and business process automation such as n8n
• English proficiency
