Senior Manager Treasury Cash Management and Safeguarding UK

You will own safeguarding compliance for UK regulated entities covering electronic money and payment services. You will run reconciliations, oversee treasury controls, manage FCA reporting, chair governance meetings, make cash management decisions, investigate incidents, and coordinate regulatory change across functions.

Responsibilities

• Own UK safeguarding compliance across electronic money and payment services
• Assess treasury and operational processes against CASS15 requirements
• Maintain fund-flow diagrams and safeguarding calculation logic
• Manage accurate and timely FCA safeguarding reporting
• Investigate safeguarding incidents and escalate material issues
• Perform checker responsibilities over safeguarding reconciliations
• Review group-level operational treasury work
• Maintain audit trails and inspection-ready documentation
• Drive automation of reconciliation and safeguarding processes
• Run the UK Safeguarding Committee and report safeguarding performance
• Provide governance information to boards and senior management
• Make decisions on cash diversification and interest optimization
• Balance liquidity needs with permissible investment options
• Track and report UK Treasury operational KPIs
• Partner with teams to embed safeguarding before product launches
• Manage safeguarding account and banking relationships

Requirements

• Strong background in fintech, electronic money, and CASS-regulated environments
• Hands-on experience with CASS15, EMRs 2011, and PSRs 2017 is highly valued
• Solid treasury knowledge and experience owning cash management decisions
• Experience with reconciliations, checker controls, and operational risk management
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced regulatory environment
• Experience working with Compliance, Legal, Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams
• Experience chairing or running governance committees is preferred
• Initiative and ability to identify and act on issues independently
• Strong analytical and controls mindset
• Experience with SQL, Excel, or BI tools for reconciliation and safeguarding data
• Clear communication with committees, senior management, Compliance, and the FCA
• Ability to balance group-wide standards with UK regulatory requirements
