Senior Manager, Systems Test and Software Quality Assurance

You will lead and mentor senior test and quality engineers, set verification standards and quality gates, and oversee customer simulation environments. You will embed automated testing in CI/CD workflows, direct end-to-end testing and release-readiness programs, and partner with engineering stakeholders to assess risk and resolve defects.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and lead senior system test and software quality engineers.
• Establish software quality assurance standards, quality gates, and compliance practices.
• Architect and oversee site-level customer simulation environments.
• Embed automated test frameworks, harnesses, emulators, and AI-assisted tooling into CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee end-to-end test programs across microservices, APIs, messaging architectures, and integrations.
• Create phased subsystem test plans and direct release-readiness testing.
• Assess risk, accelerate defect resolution, and maintain feedback loops with engineering stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 12 years of progressive quality assurance or test engineering experience.
• Experience directly managing, mentoring, and scaling teams of senior engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience leading customer-facing System Integration Testing and architecting site-level simulation environments.
• Expertise with operational KPIs, throughput, latency, error budgets, resource utilization, SLA/SLO performance, and release-readiness gates.
• Technical background validating distributed systems, microservices, service-oriented architecture, REST/gRPC APIs, and asynchronous messaging brokers.
• Experience integrating test frameworks and virtualized test harnesses into CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code environments.
• Proficiency with SQL and black-box, backend/API, regression, integration, end-to-end, load/stress, scale, and user acceptance testing.
