Senior Java Backend Developer

You will develop robust, scalable server code and build RESTful APIs that meet business requirements. You will troubleshoot and optimize backend services, design efficient database schemas, write API and server documentation, collaborate with functional teams, and own backend development activities.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust, scalable, clean, and understandable server code
• Design and implement RESTful APIs that meet business requirements
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize server code
• Design and maintain scalable and efficient database schemas
• Write API documentation for API users and server documentation for operations users
• Collaborate with functional teams
• Take ownership of backend development activities
• Report to the Backend Team Leader

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in backend code development
• Strong Java and Spring or Spring Boot development experience
• Experience writing effective code, applying refactoring best practices, and using GoF Design Patterns
• Problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent knowledge of RDBMS such as MySQL
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as Redis, MongoDB, and DynamoDB
• Experience using Git and Git Flow for asynchronous collaboration
• Experience with Agile development lifecycle methodology
• Moderate English proficiency
• Experience resolving technical issues involving customer accounts or software infrastructure
• Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting software integration problems
