Senior Full Stack Engineer

Ciklum is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team full-time in Poland.

Project Description:

Our client is an American partner known for selling and distributing tickets for various events, and one of the leading providers of booking and ticketing services in the arts and entertainment industry, operating on a global scale.

Responsibilities:

• Own the full software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance
• Build and maintain frontend and backend solutions: create robust, scalable, high-performance frontend applications and embeddable components with JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Next.js)
• Design backend services: build RESTful APIs, microservices, serverless functions and event-driven data pipelines
• Integrate with third-party partners: build and maintain secure integrations with external APIs, including auth flows and webhooks
• Document system architecture: create and maintain sequence diagrams that show how services interact and how data flows between them
• Manage data stores: design, implement and maintain NoSQL databases and caching layers, with a focus on data modeling, integrity, performance and maintainability
• Apply DevOps practices: manage and improve CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable builds, tests and deployments
• Operate what you build: monitor production services, investigate incidents and support high-traffic events
• Collaborate with the team: review code, give constructive feedback and share knowledge
• Work in an agile way: work in a Lite Agile environment and adapt to changing requirements

Requirements:

• 5+ years of backend development experience
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React: deep knowledge of the language and its frameworks, libraries and tooling
• Working knowledge of Java and Spring Boot
• Architecture and dependency analysis: able to produce sequence diagrams and technical documentation from implementation requirements
• API design: experience designing, consuming and architecting REST APIs
• Cloud and serverless: hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS and EventBridge
• Event streaming: experience with Kafka or similar messaging systems
• Databases: hands-on experience with NoSQL databases and caching (for example DynamoDB and Redis)
• Authentication: solid understanding of OAuth 2.0 and secure handling of tokens and user data
• DevOps and CI/CD: proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially GitLab CI/CD
• Kubernetes and Terraform: experience with both for container orchestration and infrastructure management
• Fluent English: excellent written and spoken communication
• Openness and adaptability: willing to learn new tools and technologies as needed
• AI-assisted development: hands-on experience with AI coding assistants such as in day-to-day work, and the judgment to review and validate AI-generated code before it ships

Desirable:

• Next.js and embeddable frontend components
• GraphQL
• Experience with partner integrations or high-traffic consumer platforms
