Senior Associate Cluster Manager Current Account Consumer Banking Group

You will own the current-account growth agenda across an assigned cluster. You will lead sales managers and relationship managers, build acquisition strategies and referral networks, grow active balances and transaction volumes, deepen client relationships, drive solution-led cross-sell, and ensure compliant onboarding and portfolio quality.

Responsibilities

• Deliver current-account acquisition, activation, balance, transaction, and fee-income targets
• Build and execute catchment-led acquisition strategies
• Translate cluster targets into branch, team, and individual productivity plans
• Lead, coach, and motivate current-account sales staff
• Build referral ecosystems and market intelligence
• Drive account activation, operating balances, payment activity, and digital banking adoption
• Drive cross-sell of banking, payment, cash-management, and merchant solutions
• Build relationships with anchor clients and resolve service issues
• Ensure KYC, AML, fraud-risk, and regulatory compliance
• Recruit, develop, and performance-manage the sales team

Requirements

• 8–15 years of relevant banking experience in current accounts, CASA, business banking, SME banking, transaction banking, branch banking, or merchant acquiring
• 3–5 years of people-leadership experience managing sales managers, relationship managers, or acquisition teams
• Track record of building current-account portfolios, increasing operating balances, and delivering cross-sell revenue
• Graduate degree
• Understanding of current-account economics, CASA, transaction banking, payments, merchant acquiring, and business-client needs
• Sales analytics, funnel management, portfolio reviews, and performance dashboard skills
• Stakeholder management, communication, negotiation, and coaching skills
