Senior AI Engineer TypeScript Backend

You will design and operate AI agents and TypeScript backend services for regulated decision-making. You will build durable execution, model integrations, guardrails, evaluations, observability, and tests. You will handle personal-data safeguards and collaborate on specifications, ADRs, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Model domains and contracts with versioned schemas
• Develop TypeScript backend services using Node.js or Bun and NestJS
• Integrate language models through tool calling, structured outputs, streaming, and multiple providers
• Build durable execution with retries, idempotency, and resumption
• Implement agent limits, budgets, and autonomy policies
• Design evaluations for quality, cost, and latency
• Build guardrails against prompt injection, data leakage, and tool misuse
• Protect personal data through minimization, masking, LGPD controls, and data residency
• Operate services through metrics, logs, tracing, and shared on-call

Requirements

• Strong production backend experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience launching and operating an LLM feature in production
• Experience with domain modeling, versioned schemas, and compatibility
• Experience with distributed systems, idempotency, retries, timeouts, and long-running executions
• Automated testing and observability experience
• Rigorous use and review of coding agents
• Clear written Portuguese and technical English reading
