Senior Account Manager Local Payments

You will acquire and onboard merchants for payment services, negotiate commercial agreements, and manage account performance across the region. You will coordinate integrations, resolve escalations, identify growth opportunities, mentor junior account managers, share market insights, attend industry events, and travel for merchant visits.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and onboard merchants for payment services
• Build and maintain merchant relationships
• Negotiate merchant discount rates, commercial terms, and service agreements
• Coordinate onboarding and integration with internal teams
• Resolve merchant queries, support requests, and escalations
• Monitor transaction volumes and account KPIs
• Identify and act on portfolio growth opportunities
• Mentor junior account managers and new hires
• Track industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs
• Represent the organization at merchant and industry events
• Travel within Bohol and Eastern Visayas for merchant visits

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
• 4–7 years of experience in merchant acquisition, business development, or account management
• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or e-commerce
• Experience closing high-value deals and independently managing high-volume portfolios
• Communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Experience negotiating with senior merchant stakeholders
• Ability to coordinate with international partners and stakeholders
• Track record of meeting or exceeding quotas
• Based in Bohol or Eastern Visayas, or willing to relocate
• Willingness to travel extensively within Bohol and Eastern Visayas
