Robotics Data Engineer Data Generation and Curation

You will build ROS 2 data-capture pipelines for multimodal robot data. You will synchronize sensors, validate dataset health, curate and preprocess recordings, integrate synthetic data, and design versioned dataset formats for reproducible training and approved releases.

Responsibilities

• Build ROS 2-based multimodal sensor-capture pipelines
• Synchronize sensor streams and validate timestamp integrity
• Define and run dataset health checks
• Filter and deduplicate recorded data and define dataset splits
• Integrate synthetic simulation data with real recordings
• Build preprocessing for recorded episodes
• Design schemas and storage formats and version datasets

Requirements

• Experience building ROS 2 sensor-recording or data pipelines with Python
• Experience synchronizing cameras and sensors
• Experience designing schemas and storage layouts for multimodal time-series data
• Knowledge of camera pipelines and video encoding
