Research Software Engineer

You will design and harden shared codebases, tools, and distributed services for training and shipping frontier-scale models. You will build development tools, pipelines, training frameworks, cluster tooling, and CI/CD; expose APIs; automate workflows; optimize distributed services; and turn prototypes into shared libraries.

Responsibilities

• Own complex large-scale pipelines and deliver internal tooling
• Expose APIs, automate model pushes, and surface metrics
• Write well-tested Python and systems code
• Enforce code review, CI, and observability
• Design and optimize distributed services
• Build stable shared libraries from prototype utilities

Requirements

• Master’s in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 4+ years building and operating large-scale or distributed systems
• Software design, modular code, testing, CI/CD, and observability
• Python
• C++, Rust, Go, or Java
• Container orchestration and schedulers
• Kubernetes, SLURM, or similar
• Performance profiling
• I/O optimization
