Principal Cloud Architect

You will define enterprise cloud architecture and platform standards on GCP, lead major cloud migrations and modernization initiatives, and design scalable self-service platforms. You will prototype solutions, guide technical decisions, improve security and cost efficiency, and mentor engineers and architects.

Responsibilities

• Define and govern enterprise cloud architecture and cloud-native platform standards on GCP
• Design provisioning, networking, and data architectures for hyperscale growth
• Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives to GCP
• Build developer self-service platforms with guardrails and validation controls
• Establish workload isolation, disaster recovery, and backup capabilities
• Own cloud cost optimization and FinOps
• Drive CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure as Code capabilities
• Mentor engineers and architects and lead architecture reviews

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 12 years of enterprise and cloud architecture experience
• 5 years in a principal, lead, or equivalent technical leadership role
• Google Cloud Platform expertise, including GKE, IAM, VPC design, and data services
• Kubernetes, containers, microservices, distributed systems, and API experience
• Infrastructure as Code and GitOps experience
• Cloud security, observability, disaster recovery, backup, and FinOps experience
