Principal Autonomous Test Engineer

You will define and own a test data architecture, shared automation framework, and executive dashboards for physical robotic testing. You will integrate rigs and instrumentation into automated testing, establish technical standards, enable adoption, support reliability modeling, set the roadmap, and mentor senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Build executive test dashboards
• Design and own a versioned test data schema and pipelines
• Architect shared test automation for orchestration, sequencing, result capture, and CI/CD
• Integrate rigs, fixtures, instrumentation, and hardware-in-the-loop environments into automated testing
• Drive adoption through reference implementations, documentation, and enablement
• Provide clean, traceable data for reliability modeling
• Set the technical roadmap and make build-versus-buy decisions
• Mentor senior engineers and grow into leading technical leads

Requirements

• At least 12 years of experience in test automation, test infrastructure, or data platform engineering for physical, electromechanical, or robotic systems
• Experience building a platform adopted by teams outside your own
• Hands-on hardware experience with DAQ, sensors, test rigs, hardware-in-the-loop, and system integration
• Experience with test or telemetry data modeling, time-series data, and dashboards
• Strong Go or Python skills
• Experience with CI/CD, containers, AWS, and API design
• Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
