Platform Engineer Cloud Native

You will build and maintain infrastructure automation and core cloud-native services. You will work with Kubernetes internals and container runtimes, improve CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot distributed systems, apply security controls, contribute to open-source tooling, and improve the reliability, observability, and operability of services.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation using Ansible, Terraform, and Go
• Develop and enhance VKE, VLB, VCR, and Inference services
• Work with Kubernetes scheduler, kubelet, controllers, and CRDs
• Design and improve container runtime integrations using containerd, runc, and OCI
• Improve CI/CD and deployment pipelines
• Troubleshoot networking, load balancing, containers, and distributed systems
• Harden infrastructure through vulnerability scanning, image signing, admission controllers, and secrets management
• Contribute to Terraform provider, Crossplane, vultr-cli, and govultr
• Improve service reliability, observability, and operability
• Collaborate on feature delivery

Requirements

• 5+ years of platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure experience
• Kubernetes administration and internals experience, including scheduler, kubelet, and CRDs
• Go, Python, and Bash proficiency
• Container security knowledge including image scanning, runtime isolation, and admission control
• Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipeline design experience
• Prometheus, Grafana, alerting, and incident response familiarity
• Problem-solving skills in networking, load balancing, and distributed systems
