Ontology Manager

You will own and evolve the organisational ontology that supports workflow projects. You will prioritise change requests, assess ontology impacts, coordinate data-source integration, and ensure governance, access, maintenance, and roadmap alignment.

Responsibilities

• Own and develop the organisational ontology
• Manage and prioritise the ontology backlog
• Evaluate new objects and ontology changes
• Partner on new data-source ingestion requests
• Contribute to use-case architecture and data-sourcing discussions
• Maintain the ontology and understand relevant data sources
• Collaborate on ontology integration and design impacts
• Ensure governance-compliant access to ontology data
• Develop scalable governance-check processes
• Align ontology development with the programme roadmap

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, ontology design, data modeling, data engineering, analytics engineering, enterprise data platforms, or a related field
• 3+ years overseeing complex cross-functional data initiatives
• Experience designing conceptual, logical, or semantic data models
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines and production data workflows
• Knowledge of databases, schemas, metadata, and data quality
• Experience partnering across engineering, operations, governance, and business teams
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders
