Member of Technical Staff Software Engineer Fraud Prevention

You will design, build, and operate backend services for fraud detection and prevention. You will create data pipelines and real-time features, process trust signals, integrate fraud decisions into product and payment flows, maintain production reliability, build investigation tooling, and turn abuse patterns into production detections.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate high-throughput low-latency backend services for fraud detection and prevention
• Build data pipelines and real-time feature computation for detections and machine learning models
• Collect and process trust signals
• Integrate fraud decisions into product, authentication, and payment flows
• Maintain production reliability through observability, alerting, safe rollouts, and incident response
• Build internal tooling for investigation, enforcement, and auditability
• Turn new abuse patterns into production detections

Requirements

• 5+ years building and operating high-throughput latency-sensitive backend systems in production
• Systems programming skills
• Experience with Rust, Go, or C++
• Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of stream and batch computation, caching, and storage trade-offs
• Ability to ship incrementally, measure results, and ensure failures degrade safely
