Description
You will lead technical delivery for prototypes and production platforms. You will design and build end-to-end software using TypeScript, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code and Azure. You will set standards for architecture, code quality, security and testing; mentor engineers; collaborate with stakeholders; and operate platforms through monitoring, troubleshooting and performance work.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery across software projects
- Design and build end-to-end software using TypeScript, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, infrastructure as code and Azure
- Set standards for architecture, code quality, security and testing
- Mentor engineers
- Help build the engineering presence in Belfast
- Work with stakeholders to turn requirements into working software
- Operate platforms through monitoring, troubleshooting and performance management
Requirements
- Technical leadership experience on complex, multi-language software projects
- Strong backend engineering experience with TypeScript or JavaScript and another language such as Python or Rust
- Frontend development experience with a modern framework such as React
- Experience with CI/CD, containers and cloud deployment
- Ability to collaborate with engineers, designers, researchers and non-technical stakeholders
- Interest in generative AI tooling and digital twins
- Successful completion of BPSS clearance before starting employment
