Infrastructure Engineer

You will maintain, optimize, and scale a mixed physical and virtual computing environment. You will own and improve server and network infrastructure, provide technical support, troubleshoot networks and systems, and develop Python-based automation for infrastructure operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, optimize, and scale physical and virtual computing environments
• Own and improve server and network infrastructure
• Provide high-level technical support for systems
• Develop and deploy Python automation solutions
• Troubleshoot and improve networks, routing protocols, and computing systems
• Support infrastructure deployments, critical incidents, and maintenance windows outside regular business hours when required

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of systems administration, network infrastructure engineering, or related experience
• Understanding of data centre connectivity, structured cabling, TCP/IP networking, IPv4/IPv6, and subnetting
• Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco switches
• Knowledge of server hardware, network appliances, computer internals, and Linux troubleshooting
• Experience diagnosing network performance issues using Wireshark, tcpdump, or traceroute
• Experience troubleshooting hardware failures and performance bottlenecks
• Hands-on experience with Git workflows
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, SNMP, and performance tuning
• Ability to work weekend and evening shifts and provide out-of-business-hours support when required
