You will create sketches, renderings, and 3D models; collaborate with engineering disciplines; build and evaluate prototypes; and refine designs for manufacturability, cost, and technical requirements.
Responsibilities
- Design housings, enclosures, and user-facing components for autonomous robot systems
- Develop concept sketches, renderings, and 3D models
- Translate design concepts into manufacturable geometry
- Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software teams
- Build and evaluate prototypes
- Iterate designs based on manufacturability, cost, and technical feedback
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong portfolio demonstrating aesthetic sensibility and technical understanding of materials and manufacturing
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Rhino, or Fusion 360 and rendering tools such as KeyShot or Blender
