Head of Data Center Operations

You will lead day-to-day operations for Bitcoin mining data centers across Texas. You will maximize uptime and operational performance, improve infrastructure reliability, oversee maintenance and hardware deployment, manage incidents, and lead local operations, technician, and maintenance teams. You will also support site expansions and coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations across Bitcoin mining data centers in Texas
• Ensure maximum uptime, operational stability, and performance across facilities
• Develop and improve operational standards, processes, and KPIs
• Monitor operational health and proactively resolve production issues
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs
• Ensure efficient operation of power, cooling, networking, and mining infrastructure
• Coordinate hardware deployment, repairs, replacements, and capacity expansion
• Improve infrastructure reliability and operational efficiency
• Lead and develop operations managers, technicians, and maintenance teams
• Establish performance expectations and accountability
• Build scalable operational processes
• Analyze operational metrics and identify optimization opportunities
• Manage incident response and post-mortem processes
• Ensure compliance with company standards and local regulations
• Support expansion projects, new site launches, and operational scaling
• Coordinate with hardware vendors and external contractors

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience managing large-scale data center, industrial, or critical infrastructure operations
• 3+ years leading operational teams in a management role
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, cooling, networking, and hardware operations
• Experience managing multiple teams, vendors, and operational KPIs
• Proven record of improving operational efficiency and reliability
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to travel between data center locations when required
• Fluent English
• Experience in Bitcoin mining or high-performance computing operations is preferred
• Experience with large-scale electrical infrastructure is preferred
• Experience managing multi-site operations is preferred
• Knowledge of safety and compliance standards for industrial facilities is preferred
