Head of Compliance Operations

You will lead daily compliance operations across AML monitoring, KYC, fraud prevention, and P2P compliance. You will manage workloads, capacity, staffing, quality, and performance metrics. You will improve risk-based workflows, oversee automated-decision reviews, develop team leads, and coordinate operational changes with relevant stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across AML monitoring, KYC, fraud prevention, and P2P compliance
• Manage queues, workload distribution, capacity planning, and staffing
• Establish and monitor performance, quality, productivity, cost, and customer-experience metrics
• Develop team leads and accountability for team performance
• Improve workflows, tools, and team structure
• Refine review procedures, decision rules, and escalation criteria
• Develop targeted risk-based reviews using customer context and transaction history
• Drive adoption of AI and automation
• Build processes to review automated outcomes and improve rules and workflows
• Adapt workforce planning as automation changes manual work
• Coordinate with compliance leadership and customer-facing teams

Requirements

• Experience leading compliance operations or customer-facing operational functions in fintech, neobanking, payments, or banking
• Exposure to compliance, AML, fraud prevention, or customer review processes
• Operational management skills including queue management, capacity planning, staffing, performance management, and quality control
• Experience improving operational efficiency, quality, and customer experience
• Experience managing teams through team leads and developing frontline managers
• Ability to translate compliance requirements into procedures, decision rules, and guidance
• Ability to use operational data to identify bottlenecks and measure improvements
• Communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience leading teams through change
• Interest in AI and automation
• Advanced written and spoken English
