Head of Communications

Lead Paxos’ communications strategy across executive, corporate, policy, internal, and product channels. Own media and press relations, reputation and crisis communications, high-stakes internal and executive messaging, executive counsel, AI-enabled content and measurement, and agency coordination.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute long-term global communications strategy
• Lead media and press relations and proactive storytelling
• Manage reputation and responsive reputation management
• Own internal and executive communications for high-stakes and regulated topics
• Advise the CEO and executive team on communications strategy and messaging
• Use AI tools to increase leverage in content development, research, and measurement
• Direct and coordinate external agencies, advisors, and cross-functional partners

Requirements

• 12+ years in communications with senior leadership experience
• Experience in tech, fintech, or financial services; crypto and blockchain experience preferred but not required
• Deep experience across executive, corporate, policy, internal, and product communications
• Proven ability to manage press and media relations and re-establish brand presence
• Track record partnering closely with C-level leaders
• Experience at fintech companies or banks; crypto-native or crypto-forward company experience preferred
• Strong relationships with finance and crypto reporters and outlets or demonstrable ability to build them
• Experience with regulatory or policy communications in major regulatory hubs is nice to have
• Experience building or significantly scaling a communications function and managing internal teams and agencies is nice to have
• Background in payments, fintech, or TradFi with connectivity to relevant reporters is nice to have
