Forward Deployed Engineer

You will assess customer needs and technical feasibility, configure and validate robotic systems, and manage deployments from setup through production ramp. You will lead on-site installations, troubleshoot software and hardware issues, support customers after deployment, and turn customer feedback into input for Product and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Assess customer needs and technical feasibility
• Understand customer workflows, constraints, and success metrics
• Configure, test, and validate robotic systems
• Manage deployments end to end
• Lead on-site installations, qualification testing, and production ramp
• Troubleshoot software, configuration, and hardware issues
• Support customers after deployment
• Translate customer feedback into actionable Product and Engineering input

Requirements

• BS or MS in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Hands-on experience in robotics, automation systems, motion planning, perception, or controls
• Familiarity with Linux, Unix, Robot Operating System, and Python scripting
• At least 2 years of experience in applications engineering, solutions engineering, field robotics, or another customer-facing technical role
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deployments
• Availability for occasional nights, weekends, and on-call hours
• Ability to travel up to 75% across North America
