Engineering Manager Social

You will lead a full-stack product engineering team responsible for social features, including notifications, profiles, the follow graph, sharing, and comments. You will develop engineers, guide social-system architecture, partner on roadmap discovery, and ship retention features with metrics, logging, dogfooding, and post-launch follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineers responsible for notifications, profiles, the follow graph, and social engagement
• Hire and develop engineers and manage performance
• Set technical direction for social systems at scale
• Guide architecture for follow graphs, notifications, profiles, and mobile-first APIs
• Partner with product, design, and data science on roadmap discovery
• Ship retention features with metrics, logging, dogfooding, and post-launch follow-up

Requirements

• 5–7 years in software engineering
• 2–4 years managing engineers
• Experience hiring, developing, and managing engineer performance
• Knowledge of social products and network effects
• Technical depth in architecture and code review
• Experience in ambiguous 0→1 environments
• Cross-functional communication
• Eligibility to work in the U.S.
