Distributed Systems Engineer

You will help build a robust, high-throughput, low-latency financial exchange. Depending on your interests, you will develop the matching engine, trading APIs, or market data feeds, using systems programming expertise to deliver robust, production-ready solutions.

Requirements

• Work in person at the Flatiron office
• Demonstrate deep technical expertise and broad domain knowledge
• Have a strong bias toward action
• Prioritize code quality and production-ready solutions
• Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Have experience with a systems programming language such as C, C++, Go, or Rust
• Experience with Go or building matching engines
• Understanding of consensus protocols such as Viewstamped Replication, Raft, or Paxos
• Experience building multi-tenant, large-scale distributed systems
• Track record of shipping high-quality products and leading large-scale projects
• Open-source contributions or published work
