Director Senior Security Architect

You will provide hands-on technical leadership for application and cloud security architecture. You will design security requirements, build threat models, partner with engineering teams to ship secure software, assess vulnerabilities, lead global security initiatives, develop AI-powered security tooling, report security metrics, and mentor cybersecurity and engineering colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Build threat models for critical systems and establish cybersecurity requirements
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to design and ship secure software across web, API, mobile, FIX, and trading platforms
• Lead global security initiatives and build AI-powered tooling to scale the cybersecurity program
• Assess vulnerability risks, deliver actionable recommendations, and track health metrics and KPIs for executive reporting
• Drive high-impact projects and adapt to evolving business needs
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to cybersecurity and engineering teams

Requirements

• 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including 5+ years of hands-on coding
• Expertise in threat modeling, code reviews, and offensive security methodologies
• Linux command-line proficiency, shell scripting, system hardening, and security configuration knowledge
• Hands-on penetration-testing experience
• Knowledge of IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, cryptography, and public cloud platforms
• Proficiency in C/C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, or Rust
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and SANS CWE Top 25
• Knowledge of enterprise software development, Agile, CI/CD pipelines, and security tooling including SAST, DAST, OSA, vulnerability management, and API traceability
• Ability to communicate technical risks to executives and engineers
• Ability to independently drive projects from conception to completion
