Director of Engineering

You will lead the design and development of complex applications, software platforms, and services; establish engineering standards and best practices; provide strategic direction to the engineering department; oversee outsourced engineering work; manage roadmaps and delivery; collaborate with stakeholders; optimize processes and tools; track engineering KPIs; and ensure reliable, scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of complex applications, components, platforms, and services
• Oversee advanced data models, data marts, and data flows
• Establish technical standards, best practices, and guidelines
• Provide strategic direction to the engineering department
• Oversee outsourced engineering activities and third-party providers
• Ensure high-quality deliverables within budget
• Develop and maintain the engineering roadmap
• Monitor progress and remove obstacles
• Ensure timely delivery of roadmap initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders
• Identify process optimization and technology opportunities
• Track engineering team KPIs
• Implement data-driven decision-making
• Optimize processes and resource allocation
• Ensure reliable and scalable engineering solutions

Requirements

• Relevant Bachelor’s degree
• Extensive game industry experience
• Experience working within cross-functional teams
• Experience managing, leading, and coaching Software Engineering teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Management skills across multiple simultaneous projects
• Experience in a deadline-driven environment
